2011 was for real a remarkable year for everyone. It was a year of diversity, remembrance, inspiration and possibility. Lots of unforgettable historical events happened.
On January the 1st, Estonia officially adopts the euro currency and becomes the seventeenth Euro-zone country.
On January the 4th, Mohammed Bouazizi dies after setting himself in fire sparking anti-government protests in Tunisia. These protests become known as the Arab spring, sooner then; many other Arabian nations start their revolutions causing governments to fall.
On January the 14th , The Tunisian government falls after a month of increasingly violent protests; President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali flees to Saudi Arabia after 23 years in power.
On February the 11th, the Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak resigns after many protests calling for his departure, leaving control of Egypt in the hands of the military.
