The latest generation of iPhones (iPhone 5)

The latest generation of iPhones iPhone 5 Writemania The latest generation of iPhones (iPhone 5)The Apple company have recently released the new generation of iPhones, it’siPhone 5, the sixth generation after the original iPhone, iPhone 3GiPhone 3GS,iPhone 4, iPhone 4S.
There are many rumors about how iPhone 5 will be. Last year, before the new iPhone was released, people thought that it’s going to be a huge redesign but then it turned out to look exactly like the iPhone 4. However, this year’s iPhone is going to be different so expect a full body makeover.
The Industrial designer Don Lehman has explained the new metal by saying:
Thinness is a major feature of this design. Take a look at your iPhone 4/4S from the side. Now imagine that the new design is only as thick as the metal band. That’sa big deal. From my estimates, that would make this design anywhere from 2-3mm thinner than the iPhone 4S. That sounds small, but it’s a huge difference. That’s as much as 32 percent thinner. As a point of comparison, the Retina MacBook Pro is only 25 percent thinner than the old MacBook Pro.”
So expect the next iPhone to be slim and tall. Rumors say it will only be 7.6mm thick, making it thinner than smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy S3 and the HTC One S. That’s also nearly 2mm thinner than the iPhone 4S. The display will help streamline the device’s dimensions, but more on that next.
Now that the iPhone 5 was fully released, Apple has announced it has sold over five million iPhone 5 devices in just three days. The iPhone 5 officially went on sale in the US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and the UK on September 21. Apple plans to release the new device in 22 more countries on September 28 and in more than 100 countries by the end of the year. Apple also announced more than 100 million iOS devices have been updated with iOS 6 since its launch on September 19. “Demand for iPhone 5 has been incredible and we are working hard to get an iPhone 5 into the hands of every customer who wants one as quickly as possible,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO.
Even though the next-generation iPhone will be the sixth smartphone released by Apple, it’s still being called the “iPhone 5″ by most Apple fans. It’s almost like Apple users have already forgotten about the disappointing iPhone 4S. This is probably why the iPhone 5 is expected to enjoy record sales this holiday season.
