When you first watch the movie of The Avengers, you get surprised to see many of today’s superheroes like the Hulk, Iron man, Captain America, Thor, Hawkeye, and Black widow teamed up and called “The Avengers”.
The movie starts with Loki who steals the Tesseract -an alien source of energy that can explode the whole world if it’s between the wrong hands- and takes over the minds of two genius people to help him making his way to enslave human race with his army that is called the Chitauri.
Finding no option but to look for an immediate solution, Nick Fury, the leader of S.H.I.E.L.D decides to gather a super team to defeat the plans of Loki. He first went to Black widow, then Captain America, Iron man and eventually Bruce Banner (Hulk) and Thor who volunteered to save the earth from the devilish plans of his brother with them.
When the final battle between Loki’s army and the superhero team began, we just can’t remove our eyes out of the screen, it gets so exciting to see all of our best heroes working together as one cooperated team for one purpose: saving the world from evil. Then Hulk steals the show, the punch he gave the alien monster was really awesome and his scenes with Iron man were just epic.

The biggest day of my life have finally come, the day when I’ll get the chance to stand on my own feet to make my own family. I was supposed to feel happy to be with the one I love, the one I’ve chosen. But I couldn’t stand in front of the tears of my aunts, uncles, cousins and most painfully, my mom’s. I’ve seen the tears of almost all the people I love, people whom I’ve never expected to see their tears in my entire life. However, I didn’t even think that me myself I would cry, I wanted to be strong in front of them but I just fell crying. How can I be strong when I’m going to leave them?!! Maybe I won’t see some of them for months or for years who knows!!

Zombies, the new creatures!

Zombies as portrayed in the movie Night of the...Zombies as portrayed in the movie Night of the Living Dead (Photo credit: Wikipedia)
Zombies are those living-dead that we now see in many of today’s horro movies. They’re typically represented as scary creatures, reanimated corpse with a big hunger for human flesh.
History of zombies:
City Zombies Wallpaper yvt2 Zombies, the new creatures!
The legend of zombies came out of the Voodoo beliefs created by African people. In the west, people think that a dead person can be revived by a sorcerer and they remain under his control since they have no will of their own. While in the south they believe that a dead person can be turned into a zombie by a small child. It is also believed in some areas that witches can turn a person into a zombie by killing and possessing the victim’s body in order to force it to be a slave. However, these zombies are mainly under the control of a master, or they simply act mindlessly.
The period of time that we may call B.R. (Before Romero) the zombie as we know it did not exist. In films such as “white zombie” (1932), the first made up film about zombies,  lifeless bodies were removed from the grave right after burial and turned into slaves obeying the orders of a human master. Then with George A. Romero’s film “night of the living dead” that is now considered the beginning of the modern zombie. Romero bred the zombie with the vampire and created a ghoulish monster. In the “Night of the Living Dead” the Zombies are originally called “ghouls” it is not until 1978 when writing the script for “Dawn of The Dead” that George Romero claimed the word ZOMBIE. Along with “I am legend” directed by Francis Lawrence, the zombies are humans turned by a virus into scary creatures that kill all the livings. Unlike the zombies in Romero’s films, “I am legend” is way different in three things: first, they’re smart, second they live in dark places and the sun burns them. Third, they live in communities protecting each other.
The story of zombies is apparently like vampires, even if there are many similarities and differences between them, we can say that the zombies are the new vampires. Zombies hate the sun, they only walk in the dark, which is the same as vampires, they also turn people into creatures like them when they bite, and again it’s the very same thing.

American popular culture.Writemania.net 359 x 450 American popular culture
meaning the blending of many cultures, languages, and religions to form a single national identity. However, those cultures quickly spread to the whole world and everybody started to know almost everything about the culture of the “New world” as it was known before.

We can divide the American culture into three broad stages; the first stage starts from the colonial times until the civil war. In this period American art, architecture, music, literature, and fashion were strongly influenced by European ideas, traditions and trends. The second stage is from the civil war until around the First World War in which writers, architects, and painters of the 19th century still considered themselves as part of the European tradition; yet by this second stage America had developed a cultural style of her own. The third stage is marked by an American creativity in all Areas by a growing international influence and by a steady self-confidence. In brief, America influences the world and is influenced by the world.

As history moves on, especially in “capitalist societies” in the United States cultural items became even more popularized. The resulting mass production and distribution are not just of art itself but of its creators and performers who are icons of culture. And when we talk about the popular culture in USA, we can state the music, films, media, theater, fashion and so on…

The music of the US reflects the culture’s ethnic population through diverse styles. Some of the country’s most international genres are: Hip hop, blues, country, jazz, pop, techno, and rock and roll. The US has the world’s largest music industry and its music is heard around the world.

Hollywood, the American film industry, dominates the world’s media market. It’s likeimages American popular culture an open door that when you get in to it, you start to know all about the American fashion, customs, traditions, and way of life. However, America is using the mass-media in order to spread its culture and dominate the world by what they call: Americanization or even globalization. This strategy is actually damaging other countries’ cultures and causing some of them to disappear. At the same time, Americans reject the idea that US popular culture is a threat to foreign cultures. In October 1999 PIPA asked, “How much of a threat, if at all, do you think American popular culture, such as music, television and films, is to the cultures of other countries in the world?” Just 24% of the people said American popular culture was a “very serious matter”, while 35% considered it only a minor threat and about (41%) said it was not a threat at all.
